Christophe Bisson was born in 1969. He lives and works in Caen, France.

A former student in philosophy, he became then a visual artist and videast. He worked a lot on the representation of catastrophies such as the Shoah, Tchernobyl or Hiroshima.

In 2007, with New York Oscar-winning director Maryann De Leo, he co-directs White Horse, a documentary film shown in various international festivals. Nominated for a Golden Bear at the Berlinale, it was broadcast on the prestigious American network HBO.

This first cinema experience is a landmark event: from 2009, he stops painting to devote himself only to films.

Since then, Christophe Bisson is concentrating on his work as a documentary film director.

On one hand, a cycle on films based upon literary texts (Isaïe, Feast of Crispian, Enter the Horsewomen and Tigers) ; on the other, films that question norms and pathologies (Road Movie, Into the World, Liquidation).

His films are broadcast on television (HBO, Canal+) and often screened in prestigious French and international festivals, such as the Viennale, the Cinéma du Réel in Paris, the FID Marseilles, etc.
